Roofing integrity is a practice and core value that our team uses to conduct business. Most homeowners are not aware of the proper installation methods or up to date products. Most homeowners can not see what is actually occurring on their roof either. That is why an honest assessment, proposal, and a transparency in our business is very important.
CertainTeed Roofing manufactures a system of products, the Integrity Roof System, that we offer. This system includes more than just the proper shingle, but the starter strips, ice and water shield, hip and ridge caps, and felt. The products are essential to maintaining a sturdy roof. Each accessory attributes to a different roof facet that needs special design and installation to work appropriately. Read more about CertainTeed shingles here.
Our trained team of roof inspectors knows what the key indicators are of leaks, storm damage, and poor maintenance. These factors determine the proposals we build for each individual homeowner. Experience plays a large role in inspection but we take pride in thorough training so we can speak honestly and accurately.
There are many insurance agents in Columbia that refer us to their clients when they have roof issues. These professionals rely on our team to give their clients the best knowledge to help them make decisions. Often, after a storm, there can be quite a frenzy of roofers. Just recently, areas of Lexington and Batesburg-Leesville had hail storms. We maintain our relationships by standing behind our work, and leading with honesty.
There are also a lot of questions we cannot answer. If there is a leak in a location that is difficult to assess we will disclose that information to the homeowner and let them know we are making a proposal based on the information we have. Also, homeowners may be curious about the life expectancy of their roof, and with all the factors at hand we may not be able to give them accurate information. This is always expressed to our customer base.
