This is episode 6 of Lost in the Midlands. In this episode we visit with Bob Day and Veteran volunteer and Board Member of the Celebrate Freedom Foundation. Bob discusses growing up with his grandfather in Colonial Heights VA, and after the death of his grandfather learning the real meaning of community. He tells of his move to the “deep south” during his military service and how the people me met made him want to stay. Bob’s work with Celebrate Freedom included the launch of a Workforce Faith Based Development Program and the advancement of STEM education in rural schools.
